97e Marché aux Vins d'Ampuis
97e Marché aux vins d'Ampuis

Marché aux vins d'Ampuis (97e édition)

From January 23rd to 26th 2026

Founded in 1928, the Ampuis wine market has become one of France's largest commercial wine markets. For four days, it welcomes a large and varied public of wine lovers to meet 66 winegrowers from the various AOCs of the northern Rhône Valley. Over 300 vintages to taste!

A small market hall is set up outside the market, where you can enjoy a bite to eat and a warm, relaxed atmosphere with the participants. The entire Syndicat des Vignerons de Côte-Rôtie team is committed to making these 4 days an unforgettable experience for wine lovers and wine lovers alike!

I took part in the 96th edition, in January 2025, and it was a rich experience! The opportunity to taste rare bottles and even chat with the winemakers. The three Côte Rôtie AOCs from Guigal (the famous La La La), the cuvées from Yves et Mathilde Gangloff, Alain Voge and the wines from Domaine Georges Vernay.

A word of advice: go on Fridays for less crowds and more fun!

82ème Saint-Vincent Tournante à Maranges
82ème Saint-Vincent Tournante à Maranges

La Saint-Vincent Tournante à Maranges

January 24th and 25th 2026

Every year, at the end of January, Saint Vincent, patron saint of winegrowers and protector of vineyard workers, has been celebrated since January 22, 1938, the date of the first Saint-Vincent Tournante created on the initiative of the Confrérie des Chevaliers du Tastevin. Originally a religious event, Saint-Vincent Tournante is a celebration of the mutual aid and solidarity of winegrowers organized within the Sociétés de Secours Mutuel.

Every year, a Société de Saint-Vincent welcomes all the other Burgundy societies to its territory at the end of January. Over the weekend, the host village or villages are decorated for this festive event. Winegrowers, locals and volunteers pool their skills and give their time to organize two days of festivities in their area, welcoming up to 60,000 visitors, wine lovers and connoisseurs... A unifying, convivial, sharing moment!
